Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center Welcomes Additions to the Organization

SARASOTA, Fla. – June 7, 2021 – The Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center announces two additions to the organization’s Development team. The Development Department encompasses all fundraising, communication and marketing efforts for The Lighthouse.

Dane Gass, Communications Associate, brings over fifteen years of media and communications experience in television, radio, and film projects. For the past nine years, he taught media and communications at the middle and high school levels. Gass holds a B.A. in Telecommunications and Film from the University of West Florida.

Abby Rillo, Communications Intern

Abigail Rillo, Communications Intern, is a second-semester journalism student at the University of Florida. Rillo is a member of a professional sorority where she serves as the social media and Recruitment Co-Chair and has a passion for giving back. “I’m excited to have Dane and Abby join the Development Team,” says Terri Medina, Director of Development. “Dane brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and will help us develop our brand and expand our outreach. Abby is an eager student who can learn the communications process, while supporting the team administratively.”
