Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center Recognizes Employee Achievements

SARASOTA, Fla. – Jan. 28, 2021 – Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that educates and empowers those affected by vision loss in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, DeSoto and Highlands Counties is excited to recognize the achievements of its employees.
Lisa J. Howard, Lighthouse Chief Executive Officer achieved recertification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). CFRE credential demonstrates professional achievement and commitment to the fundraising profession and is administered by CFRE International. More than 7,200 fundraising professionals from over 20 countries are currently CFREs working throughout all segments of the nonprofit sector where they bring adherence to rigorous standards to all aspects of their work.
Terri Medina, Lighthouse Director of Development was elected as a member of the Board of Directors in the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraisers Professionals (AFP-SWFL). Medina will also serve as Chair of the Communications Committee. AFP-SWFL is committed to growing professionalism and diversity among its membership, increasing the opportunities and resources provided to its members, and celebrating the philanthropic heritage of the Sarasota and Manatee Community.
