Jean Learned Mobility and Technology

Jean moved here about a year and a half ago, and was happy to find there is a Lighthouse here.

“I did not know my neighborhood. I wanted to learn how to get around,” she says.

The Lighthouse Orientation & Mobility instructor taught her how to get around in the neighborhood and how to use the bus system.

Jean describes taking Assistive Technology courses, “I was really scared to move up to Windows 10 and was very happy to learn how to do that, and I also got myself a smart phone and learned how to use that. I’m so grateful to the Lighthouse.”
